Seizure is a central nervous system disorder involving periodic disturbances of the brain due to excessive electrical discharges. Clinical manifestations of seizure vary depending on the areas of the brain affected by the abnormal electrical discharge. Some patients may present symptoms such as eye staring, involuntary movements of limbs or head, confusion, and uttering meaningless sounds. Other symptoms include an inability to understand conversation, speech lacking in spontaneity, or sparsity of language.
