Post-concussion syndrome consists of a specific set of neuropsychological disorders caused by a traumatic injury to the brain. Its clinical manifestations include physical, mental, or emotional symptoms. Common physical symptoms are headache, dizziness and vertigo, fatigue, insomnia, and impaired balance. Emotional symptoms include depression, anxiety, irritability, restlessness, or mood swings. Mental symptoms include amnesia, confusion or impaired cognition, difficulty concentrating, or difficulty with abstract thinking.
