Ménière’s syndrome is characterized by the buildup of fluid volume in the semicircular canals causing elevated pressure in the ear. The pattern and incidence of the symptoms may vary from patient to patient, but the general symptoms are the same: dizziness, vertigo, headache, tinnitus, and the sensation of pressure in the ear.
